The series takes place today in Chicago and follows the members of a fire station in the city: the barracks 51. It focuses as well on the professional aspect of the profession than on the social life of the different characters. The life in the barracks, the emotions of the characters and the different problems they encounter are at the center of the story, all complemented by many interventions that give the share of action to history.
